Tidbit is a historical education program for children 6-10 years old. Hosted by the Museum at the Bighorns the program is free to the public. Tidbit will be capped at 40 participants so we highly encourage all to RSVP.
September 25th- Invasive Beetles
A program about two invasive beetle species one of which was discovered in the Bighorn Mountains near Sheridan, put on the District Forester Kelly Norris from the Wyoming State Forestry Division.
October 16th- Birds
Learn about local birds and what you can do to help them through the cold Wyoming winter!
November 13th- Millinery and Haberdashery
Explore your creative sides making paper bowties and fascinators while learning about hat and accessories makers of old.
December 11th- Historic Christmas Ornaments
How did people decorate for Christmas back in the day? They made their own ornaments! We’ll learn about different types of homemade ornaments and get into the festive spirit with a friendly competition.
ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED by a parent or grandparent for the duration of the program.
Tidbit begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Museum at the Bighorns (850 Sibley Circle).
A reminder email will be sent to the email address given the week before the activity.
YOU MUST LET US KNOW PRIOR TO THE DAY OF THE ACTIVITY IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND. IF YOU FAIL TO DO SO YOUR CHILD WILL BE UNREGISTERED FROM ALL FALL SESSIONS OF TIDBIT, AND THE SPOT GIVEN TO SOMEONE ON THE WAITING LIST.
